IDC engages well qualified and trained Heads of Department and Senior Managers who are professionals within their particular fields. They are responsible to the CEO for the efficient organisation and general conduct of departments.
ANUP HARI
Chief Finance OfficerAnup Hari is a Cost and Management Accountant with over 30 years post qualification experience. He first joined IDC in 2004 and heads the company’s Finance and Accounts department, responsible for all the financial functions of IDC including book-keeping, reporting financial performance (to shareholders, the public and to statutory bodies), safeguarding the company’s assets to ensure their proper utilisation and the maximum growth of the company. The department oversees internal and external audit together with the timely publication of true and fair audited accounts.

MARCUS LABROSSEGeneral Manager (Aviation)Marcus Labrosse joined IDC Aviation in 2000 as a trainee first officer with a commercial pilot license and achieved command on all types of aircraft operated by IDC. In 2004, he obtained an Airline Transport Pilot License in South Africa and achieved command of the B1900D, the most complex aircraft in the fleet. He is training and check captain on all IDC aircrafts. After training in UK, he became an instructor for the company in 2008 and by 2010 was an examiner. He took charge of Crew Training matters from 2011–2015, after which he took the role of Flight Operations Manager, then General Manager.

SREEDEVI SURESHPurchasing & Stores ManagerSreedevi Suresh joined IDC in 2012 as Purchase and Store Officer and has grown to become Manager of that department. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Corporate Secretaryship and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration. The department is responsible for procurement of all materials, machineries and equipment for construction and maintenance of the islands. Sree is responsible for the supply chain and logistics to ensuring cost-effective purchase of materials and services as required by the procurement plan whilst ensuring quality control and compliance in line with the Company’s policies and procedures.

Michel Coopoosamy joined IDC in July 2019 as Manager of Island Operations. He has spent 17 years with several other companies at Management level where he has accumulated vast knowledge and experience in managing people and situations. Michel is always positive and he uses this attitude and his tireless energy to encourage others work hard to succeed. He is committed to deliver effective, efficient and responsive operations of the IDC islands. Michel holds a degree in Environmental Management and a Diploma in Management.

Harry Jean Louis joined IDC in 2012 and has almost a further 20 years’ experience in aviation security. He is responsible to safeguard Aviation security implementing measures to counter any unlawful interference with IDC Aviation. The Security Manager ensures that IDC Aviation complies with National Civil Aviation Security program (NCASP) requirements, that passengers, crew, staff servicing and handling agents are subject to appropriate security controls and oversees security related issues including control of staff and passengers entering the airside to outer islands, profiling of passengers and ensuring all cargo is checked prior to being loaded. He is also Aerodrome coordinator and Chairman of the Health and Safety Committee.

Dr. David Payet recently joined IDC to head up this important department, catering to the medical needs of both IDC and GICC staff, including outer Island patients in medical need. The department consists of one Senior Medical Officer and two qualified full time Nurses based in the IDC Clinic at IDC Aviation. The main purpose of this Clinic is to screen all members going to work at outer Islands for conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes mellitus, epilepsy and tooth problems Food handlers are stool tested for possible contamination. Staff stand by to fly to outer islands in the event of medical emergency. The IDC Clinic works Monday to Friday but is on call 24 hours.

Michael Govinden joined the IDC team in 2016. He has vast experience in journalism, having worked as a journalist with Seychelles Broadcasting Corporation for 12 years, where he was a popular News Presenter. His duties at IDC include: to manage both the day-to-day internal and external communications and the public relations activities of the company, to act as the company’s representative with the media, to respond to information queries from the public, press and other organizations and to manage the company’s website. The Public Relations and Communications Department aims to ensure a favourable and well informed public image of IDC is maintained.

Barry Laurencine joined IDC in 1988 after completing his studies at the Seychelles Polytechnic, where he obtained a diploma in Business Studies and Accounting.
As Warehouse Manager, one of Barry’s responsibility is to ensure that the following are implemented: (i) Stocks purchased for the outer islands are reasonably priced and of good quality. They are sent promptly and securely to their respective destinations. (ii) Provide appropriate storage area for incoming and outgoing goods. (iii) Ensure timely loading and offloading of supply vessels to and from the outer islands. |

Valerie de Commarmond joined the IDC group of companies, Alphonse Island Resort in 2000 after completing her Diploma studies at the Seychelles Polytechnic. She was at that time, managing the hotel and flight reservation departments. In 2003, she was transferred to the parent company IDC as Private Secretary to the CEO. Valerie is now the Administrative Manager in the CEO’s office and is responsible to follow up on all projects and matters handle by the CEO’s office. She ensures the smooth running of this office by maintaining a high level of professionalism and contact with heads of departments, fellow colleagues and the public. Valerie has since joining, undertaken further studies in advanced office management from Lewis College in UK.

Lima Jarrymanana joined IDC in February 1992 as an Accounts Assistant after completing her studies at the Seychelles Polytechnic, where she obtained a Diploma in Business Studies & Accounting. She presently holds the post of Chief Accountant. As part of her day to day accounting duties, Lima assists in finalizing accounts for timely completion of accounts for the yearly audit.

Vivianne Dubel joined IDC in 2013 as the Business Development Officer and in 2014 she was transferred to GICC in the position of Client Services Manager. She has a BA (Econ) Honours degree in Business Studies from the University of Manchester and possess very good customer relation skills. Her main responsibilities are to act as the liaison with potential buyers and Condo owners for the Condominium Development project on Ile Perseverance, coordinating sales and processing the legal documents, as well as coordinating the maintenance of completed units. She is also responsible in overseeing the operation of the company’s furniture shop located at Bois de Rose Complex. Vivianne has over 9 years of working experience.

Louisa Victorine joined IDC Aviation in 2012 as a Ground Operations Supervisor. She has 18 years working experience in the Aviation industry. Louisa is currently the Ground Operations Manager. Her main duties include to lead and manage the Ground Operations Office and its ongoing operations. Louisa is also responsible for flight reservations, flight planning, departures and arrival of flights, loading and unloading of aircraft, and to ensure that the company and regulatory requirements are met.

Ian Edmond joined IDC in March 2019 as Project & Field engineer. He has a Bachelor's degree in Marine & Plant Engineering and holds a certificate in Engine Room Management. He has the overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of all company’s projects.
Ian is currently undertaking further studies in Project Management at the Guy Morel Institute. |
JUSTIN MOUSTACHEAgricultural Project ManagerJustin Moustache first joined IDC in 1982, when he was transferred from the Veterinary and Livestock department in the Ministry of Agriculture. Justin initiated commercial agricultural production on Coetivy and introduced poultry, cattle and pig on other islands for consumption on the islands. He also operated a training center with emphasis on agriculture on Coetivy. Justin studied in Australia, Kenya and UK where he obtained an Advanced Diploma in Agriculture. In 1987 he obtained his BSc in Applied Sciences in the USA. At one point, Justin ran the Operations department of IDC. Justin left IDC in 2004 to return in 2019 as the Agricultural Project Manager, responsible for large scale agricultural production on the islands.

HUGHES MEDERICKHealth and Safety ManagerHughes Mederick joined IDC on 1st July 2019 as Health and Safety Officer. He has extensive experience in communicable diseases and holds a diploma in Environmental Sciences. He worked for the Ministry of Health as a Public Health Officer for over 10 years, during which time he has dealt with many epidemics from H1N1, Zika, MERS, Ebola and now COVID-19. Hughes is the current Health and safety Manager.

PEDRO JUNCACompliance Monitoring & Safety Manager (Aviation)Pedro Junca obtained his Commercial Pilot License in 2014 and joined IDC on 2017 as a Beechcraft 1900 First Officer. In 2020 he became Flight Operations auditor and safety officer. After receiving his Diploma in Quality and Safety, Pedro took the role of Quality, Compliance Monitoring and Safety Manager. His duties include the oversight of all IDC Aviation activities to ensure compliance with the regulations and internal procedures as well as the running of the company’s Safety Management System. Pedro also conducts internal Safety trainings after being certified by IATA, which was approved by the local aviation authority.
